The LAND School is an innovative, community-focused, academic environment that utilizes authentic project-based learning and an emphasis on the liberal arts, nature and design thinking to engage high school students in collaborative learning experiences that prepare them to be dynamic, 21st century leaders.
On January 8, 2018, the Eau Claire Area School District (ECASD) Board of Education denoted support for further development of the Little Red Nature Campus (LRNC) proposal. Since that time, INDE has worked with with ECASD staff, families, community members, and the school board to develop the proposal. As a result of that work, LRNC has evolved into The LAND School (Liberal Arts, Nature, and Design). The updated concept includes the best elements of the initial proposal, adapted and improved to the specific needs of the ECASD.
On May 6, 2019, INDE will present the LAND School update to the ECASD at the school board meeting.
